Seriously though, one will not show up in results unless somebody (including the person) made their information public. Only those who participate in something, sign petitions and make an achievement without reading privacy policies and allow people to publish their information end up in Google and other search engines. That part does not violate the "don't be evil" rule. I have Googled myself, friends and family, and only those who satisfied the above conditions ended up on the result page. I for instance and most other people I Googled were unlisted.
