Nothing exorbitant about it...
... considering charges for wasted bandwidth, lost business productivity, etc. My guess is that the actual cost -- the basis for compensatory damages, if they were assessed -- would be ten time that $16M, or more.

If this guy has to spend the rest of his life broke paying off that judgement, fine.
