But is this simply a HE said SHE said thing?
Might in yet another article some Apple people claim that their
method was superior and then what? We would have two articles
each claiming the OTHER side was wrong...not much to go on if
you ask me.

Apple is in the end a business and not a champion of Open
Source. If Open Source presents a tool that will make Apple as a
buisness better and more profitable following standard buisness
practice and proceedure Apple will take advantage of that tool to
her beneefit. If at any time that tool becomes a hinderancee
Apple will following standard buisness practice and proceedure
will stop using that tool.

I would however like to know all the details from both sides.
