But I also believe that users have an expectation that
browsing should not put personal information such as their
credit card details or banking passwords at risk, ie
browsing SECURELY. IE currently fails in this and the multi-
billion dollar anti-malware industry for windows attests to
this.

True, and I say the same thing about Linux as a desktop (its
good enough in some environments). However if MS was
still selling 95 in 2005 I'd be just as critical. Selling
windows 2001 in 2005(06,07?) is bad enough;-)
