Good enough software.
There's actually a lot to like about IE, but that's taken for granted by people with no basis for comparison. Someone not interested in adding features can just believe it does the job. That being, browsing.

If you doubt the power of good enough, think about all the copies of the Win95 kernel sold. Living with that took real tolerance.
