Okay, maybe not their Linux experts. But, though they're hesitant to mantion it, they also have a thorough offshoring program in place, and Linux is standard enough to be included.
Working for IBM these days is not what it was. Maybe it never was what it was.

And let's see, Novell, HP, Sun. Loads of people hired, and never a layoff as far back as the eye can see.
C'mon nucrash, an application to those outfits doesn't seem a guarantee of a long and successful career to come.

And you remember the significance of Nokia's $250,000+ payment to the Mozilla Foundation, right?! That was to develop minimo, the free software that would let them cut their contract with Opera and maybe lay off some staff.
Oh yes, and also help Mozilla get FireFox finished.

The Mozilla Foundation had been through a lot, without much corporate support after Time Warner dropped them. But minimo saved them.


So, while it's reasonable to hold other points of view, I'm satisfied with my own.
