Fred, why the hostility?
The fact is IBM has shot their own foiot so many times when it comes to marketing it is sad. Can you say OS/2?

OS/2 was the better OS for a number of years, and yet IBM couldn't manage to draw flies to it. Sorry, but marketing in the PC world has never been their long suit.
