a little off
so your saying it wont help much in the server market right now, but *if* it did help in the desktop it would be better?

dual core chips will help little to nothing on the standard desktop, people will not be able to notice a difference under most things they do.

There is a big demand for dual core chips for servers though. you are comparing a dual core chip to 2 real chips, but thats not really how its happeneing. its 2 single core processors vs. 2 dual core chips. so its bascially making a server that needs high amount of computation with 4 cores or 2 cores.

there is a much bigger beenfit to dual cores on the server side than the desktop side.
