The people in the best position to do something, or rather do nothing, is us, the consumer. There is a big difference between getting sewn up after an apendecomy with a clamp inside and having a baby that has challenges, yet we will sew for malpractice ofer either.

Insurance costs go down when we make them less necessary. When there are less frivoless lawsuites, when we quit looking for a pill to fix everything, and when we quit trying to find ways to write off our tummy tucks to our group insurance plans, costs will go down. Doctors can do some of the work too, but nothing will change until the consumer changes their demands.
