I see it as very positive!!!
Is it for everyone? Of course not, but the ability to monitor body functions has serious benefits. Having a diabetic family member for the last 30 years I see first hand the PITA taking a blood sugar count every few hours is. Not to metion the fact you have to do injury to yourself to produce the blood!

Being able to simply wave a scanner over the arm compared to stabing yourself with a sharp instrument several times a day? Gee, let me think about that one for about .002 seconds. Put the chip in!!!
