every job automated is one less job period!
They ship some jobs to where the cost of labor is lower (economics) or they automate (efficieny, repeatable results). It really doesn't matter if the job was in the US, Europe or somewhere else. Most jobs are getting to a point where it can be done via a computer/robotics thus removing the need for costly humans. If you (like many here) have time to be posting on this talkback, could it be that your job is on the outs soon (due to cost of labor or it can be automated)? Who cares where the job originally was?
