Since you have trouble reading (like most MS only trolls),
Solaris has been on the x86 platform for many years. This
article is just about the fact you can download it for free for
evaluation. Solaris is also used for workstations, its not just
a server OS.

yes i know its Mike Cox and he doesnt know what hes
talking about, just trying to spout pro-MS stuff everywhere,
but I thought it might help clear it up for those reading that
do not know about him.
