Free Solaris...
Free Solaris sounds cool. I supose it's good to
have another x86 version of Unix to evaluate.
Nonetheless, I think that Solaris x86 will
definately take the back seat to Linux and
FreeBSD.

If my organization were to commit to Linux, then
we could go to many different venders for
products and support. If we go with Solaris we
are tied to Sun.

If Java software on Solaris x86 out performs
Java software on Linux x86, then there is
something to consider.
