Its about market acceptance...
Its interesting to read everyone's opinion on the subject however doesn't it always just come down to market acceptance and availability of stuff for it? For example... Beta vs VHS. Amiga technology versus what we have today. Its not the best technology that wins but rather the people pushing the technology and end user acceptance. The only reason today so many continue to buy x86 based systems is due to the plethora of stuff for it. If that wasn't true, I'd probably own a Mac today.

When it comes to technology and market acceptance, I think Intel has already lost the battle. Let's hear it for the Athlon64 and Opteron processors...let AMD lead the way and push Intel off its high horse.
