You and I payed for 'The Last Mile' not Vonage and other VoIP BUSINESSES! The FCC has had 7 years to understand the WWW evolution. { the language of the Telecommunications Act of 1996} Tell the Gov't to clean this mess up !Or else the Bells [last-mile] will continue to deteriorate the broadband infastructure thru less investmant/on/return. Best to tell VoIP to use Cable co's wire or get some more/other cable to my house w/ Thicker/more secure/ mo'betta connection. "The 9th U.S. Circuit Court ruled that the FCC incorrectly ruled in March 2002 that cable broadband networks are an "information service" rather than a "telecommunications service." This is an important distinction." that is not 'parity' I guess Videofone to Videofone is not the same on either, UNLESS one transmission form is $$$$ and the other is centovos.
[Disclaimer-I am next to be laid off from #2 Telco and it will be 3rd profession-layoff [I have seen the investment and frustration]I am a Avid Broadband user and I love things free like Flashtalk, AIM,Yahoo,Paltalk, SKYPE,GooGle,Linux distros, anytime minutes...etc. LoL
