Xeon in desktops?
Hmmmm, I am going to build a 64 bit based desktop system soon. I was out shopping and just do not see the volume of XEON processors being sold for this application when compared to the Opteron and Athlon 64 series. I could believe Intel's claim in a purely server sense, but in the desktop? Where are they making these sales? The three shops I checked with said that the AMD chips were by far the best 64 bit players right now.

When this story comes from someone not associated with AMD or Intel, then it might have some credibility. Right now it smacks only of a story for marketing purposes.
