Intel resurgence to be shown at IDF
Dual cores deliver real benefit in multithreaded aware applications. This is especially important for multimedia and thanks to Intel, the market has been seeded with Hyperthreading for several years to ensure immediate benefit.

The 64bit hype out of AMD has been a real disappointment since they came out with Opteron in 2003 and hoped something happens. This is the difference between AMD and Intel - a minor chip vendor versus a chip/platform/ecosystem enabling company.

I am sure AMD will also show something during IDF at the nearby K-Mart Convention Center. This will be an interesting week.
