There was a time in American where making a profit
year after year was the thing, and a very good thing at that.
Them came ethe 80's and the habit of "Buying a good reliable
company and stipping it for parts and making a quick buck of
the deal. Also the merger things started going during this time.
it was all about the green and a good reliable profit and or a
good product meant only that you were ripe for the picking.
Constant growth today means your STOCK OPTIONS as a CEO
grow in value, and you share holders are happy. Everything else
is so far down the importance ladder that it makes no sense to
even consider them. Then there is spin and legislation to cover
your ever decreasing value's system and product quality. Does
not matter how good you burgers taste..the quality of the meat
or buns but rather how good the burgers look on TV and how
happy and healthy the customers look in the commercial. Spin
and lies....and PROFIT!
