AMD 64s
are hot little performers. From what I've seen of the benchmark stories about them. The 754 processor wich this 'E machine is most likely to use ,alone,is selling for between 350,and 400 bucks.

There are a great many enthusiasts trying to put these machines together, still stalking and stumbling through the reviews on them.

A company wich sells in quantity will certainly level the performance playing field out.As for AMD these processors are the top performing for ANY amd processor. And this is at the bottom of the ring.Having a machine that is upgradable to future AMD processors such as this, especially for a first time buyer would certainly be a plus for them.

Always a good day for a first time computer buyer.

Are you sure 'lynix 64 bit will run on this proccesor ?

For example Windows -64 bit has to validate AMD 64 bit, from say Intel Itanium Windows -64 bit,and Linux 64 bit runs on Itanium ?

Either way. That would be a hot little machine.Depending on how cool it is on any given asian day.....

I would certainly rip it out from the box under the christmas tree.

-just talking.
