Windows could be run on the system I decscribed.
However take away the cost of windows and HP has an
advantage to sell on the cheep. Let the buyer have the choice,
and with HP's resorces that I described an army of hardware and
software engineers and the ability to tap into the resorces of the
Open Source community ie not starting from scratch HP could
do wonders with the Linux OS and Open Source software that is
out there already. So HP would NOT leave the Windows market
but instead offer MORE! and more choice to the consumer. So
why not?
