How silly is that? The whole idea that you are missing here is they have to actually sell computers. Last time I checked, the Windows/PC market is by far the best in the world. That's just fact. Why on earth would HP change anything? They have their niche. The most they need to do is get more creative with pricing. This will sell more boxes. Linux is so far away from anything compatible in the real working world it?s sad. Open source is overrated and in my view just plain crap. For example, take OpenOffice. What a piece of crap. I tried that out once and I will never again. Compatibility, stability, and most certainly features are clearly its anchor to only the ignorant. As far as your comment about the PC being just a ?ho hum box? you have the right to your view no matter how narrow-minded it is. What is ones mans junk is another?s treasure my friend.
