Just what is HP to the IT market now?
HP's last PC unique selling point was being able to deliver
enterprise-wide quantities of PC's and service them quickly.
But Dell has caught up on that model and HP has lost its
way. Apple and IBM have made software stands that clearly
stand out. Dell and Microsoft are more in bed today than at
any other time. HP is just losing ground because they have
not used their resources to be better than anyone else at
anything else. If they don't innovate in a big way soon, they
will become another Gateway, and who needs one of those?

I suggest they they learn from Apple and IBM, not Dell. No
one can out do him at his own game.
