Intel Takes the Wrong Path
As Microsoft transitions to the G5 for the XBox, and Sony also
makes it's commitment to IBM RISC processing, something is
becoming clear. Intel is at a disadvantage and behind everyone
in it's support of emerging new technologies. IBM will give Linux
the gift of the cell processor and Apple will either choose to
transition as well, or continue with IBM's PowerPCs. Platforms
with less to lose have more flexibility. Business will be stuck with
Wintel and the arts and sciences will vault ahead in speed and
creativity. Business can and will become increasingly automated
when it finally switches to a secure thin client architecture, and
abandon this army of virus riddled Microsoft licenses. Then the
truth will start to hit everybody. The only jobs left in North
America will be creative in nature. You'll either innovate (really
innovate) or you're out on your ear. The copycats and button
pushers will have to appologize for 10 years of delay. Flakes and
right brainers are finally going to get the time of day.
