- i don't do the same, but i do
- spend 1 or 2 Saturdays a month teaching the elderly on linux machines(recently upgraded to SuSe9.2 professional, which I paid for via my services) at a local shriners to work with the PC. I teach them how to use the email and OpenOffice to create documents along with teaching them the basics of the internet and such. They really don't want anything more than to figure out how to send an email to their grandkids or make basic documents and save them. They also enjoy surfing the net and such. I've even switched a few over to SuSe for their home PC's which were over ridden with garbage they didn't need(OEm's putting the AOL and crap). They seem to enjoy the difference and want to know more and more. It's still fun helping them out and teaching them how to use what they have.
