I hear you
and I do the same thing, and now with the Microsoft refusing to allow updates unless you validate your OS (which I really could care less about...) I push Linux even harder. Many folks don't have the $$$ and I am not paying for the licenses, so I use Linux. And I install Linux for people. And guess what, they usually don't complain... they are getting a free PC that allows them to e-mail and write documents and balance what little budget they have.
