A lot of larger companies do use them. I know that the IBM blades have very little with regards to cabling.

You can connect 14 2-way blades to two ethernet and two fiber switches and you don't use any cables whatsoever. With regards to power cables you only have 4 plugs to deal with. It's really a tight clean set up. BTU's are a bit up there, but then again you'd have that problem with that much equipment anyway so it's a moot point.

Maybe someone else will comment on other vendor's boxes.
