Lets analyze this Deal...
Sun is offering $1 per hour per processor. That makes it $365 per year. Now I am sure you can get top of the line 64 bit AMD Systems for this kind of price...And it would be one time expense (sans service) not like Sun's offer of $365 per year. Corporations can fully depreciate the hardware in two years. As for the Software and Service, I am sure open source folks are not sitting idle. Here is one open source Grid Computing project: http://gridengine.sunsource.net (supported by Sun !)

So why would someone want to pay Sun this Tax every year. And also, what different will Sun bring to Grid computing that another company can't bring. Now that Solaris is open-sourced, the OS is not an advantage for Sun.
