all processors were up as the entire market is rebounding
I've built AthlonXP's and Athlon64's for myself and friends and none have had any problems whatsoever. I did fully update the OS and drivers but so far all have worked without a hitch - all ASUS boards and recommended memory and power... I think the thing to note is that more than a few people think AMD's run hotter than Intel processors - THAT IS SIMPLY NOT THE CASE! P4's and G5's are hotter runners - Apple cannot build a G5 laptop due to this! Athlon64 laptops have been available since last summer! AMD has proven itself a player, and thankfully is still in alot of Best Buy and Circuit City machines and selling well. Currently, I won't build anything other than AMD because I know it will just work and run stably and generally faster than P4's especially for the money. Even so, the AthlonFx is the fastest gaming and rendering processor on the consumer desktop, and those babies aren't cheap.
