AMD window of opportunity is closing - fast
They launched 64bits about 2 years ago now and their hype of consumer running 64bit apps all have been a dismal failure. Their current share is actually down (sunstantially) from their peak.
The good news for AMD is that nobody really cared that 64bits did not happen on the consumer desktop because AMD is basically irrelevant as a platform enabling company and everyone knows.
The bad news for AMD is that Intel's resurgence is unstoppable and dual core 32 bits is where the action is and where the applications are. AMD has about 6 months to clear 20% share. The 64bit hype has run it's course.
