It's a good computer. Don't expect to run 1Gig of DDR400 (512x2). The computer/mobo specs say you can run 2Gig in 2 DIMMS. I added a 2nd stick of 512 DDR400 & both sticks now run at DDR333. From what I've read on the Web, this issue remains unresolved since Ver 1.1 of this Mobo. It's now in Ver 1.5.

AMD says MSI (Mobo maker) is responsible for RAM frequencies. MSI says that eMachines is responsible since "it might be an OEM board," and no one I've corresponded with at eMachines admits knowing about this issue. In fact, eMachines so-called "tech support" says that the loss of frequency is caused by the architecture of AMD's Clawhammer chip. And-Round-And-Round-We-Go!

Ya know I even bought the second stick of 512 DDR400 from eMachines. When I complained that they sent me Kingston Value RAM instead of the Samsung RAM identified by SKU, I was told something like none of the picturs on eMachines' site mean anything and RMA will cost me 15% restocking fee plus shippng both ways. Worse part is DDR333 for two sticks is much slower than DDR400 that either stick runs at alone.
