You get what you pay for...
If they were still able to get $1,199 for a low end laser, then they would still be more reliable. Since this isn't the case anymore, thanks to the demand for low cost lasers, you won't get the reliability you desire....Unless you buy an HP8000 or the like ($2,000 +).

The same is true for their PC's. You buy low end, you get low end.
