- Why not both?
-
I would rather have DVR than VoD, but that's just me. I'd really have to see what they have on the servers to decide for sure. However, what good is a good action movie without DD5.1 or DTS encoding? AFAIK, Comcast does not support either of those audio streams where I am.
Now then, why would they limit themselves to one or the other? Why not go with both? After all, they are the greedy pig, aren't they? With DVR and VoD, I could get that movie I want and record it for later use or to make sure I didn't miss some dialogue. Would make more sense to do that I think.
About the only thing I want for Christmas is a DirecTiVo. I can't wait to be able to watch my favorite shows without commercial interruption. And if I need to go to the kitchen, I can pause it. I can't wait! And to the delight of DirecTV, I might order more than the 1 PPV I've ordered this year. I might order more than the 3 I've ordered in 2+ years. If I could watch it over and over with the same audio encoding, that would rock. I've been good this year, hopefully Santa will treat me right when it comes to this.
