re: Comcast takes on TiVo
I recently moved to a new home and was able to subscribe to the Dish Network (years of being a Comcast customer beat any thoughts of using cable again out of my head). I got two hookups in my media room, one of which is the Dish PVR.

I like the PVR and it's great for recording movies, but it will never replace my Tivo, which is on the other connection.

However, I do have to agree with one of the previous post: Tivo is getting slower. For the last year or so, I've notice that my Tivo seems to be living in a haze much of the time. It's slow to respond to menu changes, sometimes there's a 2-3 second lag just to fast forward.

This competition should be good for Tivo. Hopefully, they will begin to make some improvements that are seriously lacking right now.
