Hitachi Drives.
i do not think that the hitachi drives are worth the extra money at this point. I bought 4 250 Gb HDD (sata) and you know what? i can use 1 reliably. the connections do not seem to be very well made for the sata cables. i went to WD for my next 4, as when i sent the drives back, i was told there was nothing wrong with them, even after i used different cables, and even different motherboards to test them. now i definitely know i will not trust 520 bucks to hitachi for a 500 gb hdd that i may or may not even be able to use. i hope they do go with better connectors for these ones.....they work great when i get a good connection, and they are veru quiet, but unreliable. pity that, as they do seem to be half decent. i still use my 1 drive in my machine as a back up drive. that i add to show that i think that when they work, they are awesome. i have heard from many others that they were saddened by their experiences too.
