Support Chipsets...
Due to AMD's much smaller size and budget than Intel, they need to concentrate on what they do best and let the 3rd party manufacturers do the support chipsets.

Er.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if memory serves me correctly, AMD already DOES manufacture some chipset components - most notably the Northbridge chip found on many motherboards. In fact, the machine I'm writing this on has an AMD Northbridge and a VIA Southbridge...

Tho, I DO agree, at least in principle - they need to focus on their specialty. Most notable area they're lacking in - ADVERTISING... They need a slick marketing campaign - including TV advertising - to get the word OUT. The "W-O-M" advertising method is great, but it's SLOW. They've got momentum behind them now and need to kick it into high gear.
