Yes, old cell phones are "tossed" and guess where? In the garbage. There's enough dangerous stuff in the land fills as it is (unless you're on the East/West coasts and use the Alantic/Pacific for that purpose). More than anything else, there should be more available places to get rid of the stuff. That's FINALLY been done with car batteries. Next needs to be old cell phones.
