Number portability benefits gradual?
There will be some benefit as one moves through the cycle of technology abandonment. One day that phone which is contractually bound to one network will be ready for retirement and the contract will be done. Cell phones will be bought with network portablilty as a feature and we may have to pay extra for the feature. But it will be nice in a few years to be able to switch phones and carriers and keep the number.
