The guy who looked at an 800MHz Linux tablet and said "Proves Linux is worthless" is the dummy. That's not a personal attack (those aren't allowed here), it's an observation. He didn't realise that 800MHz is standard issue for Windows tablets - now shading into economy/student model territory, as here - and 1GHz or above currently is still de luxe.

800MHz tablets are becoming affordable. One reason probably is warehouses full of the things with higher pRice tags, gathering dust... a computer company nightmare.

I love the tablet. I use one at work, because of disability, and I'd have a tablet as my home PC monitor if it didn't cost more than a Tablet PC does. No. I'd have it if it was significantly cheaper. It isn't, and it isn't going to be, so instead my next home PC will be a tablet. I'll keep the old one to hold backup and a CD writer, probably.

Windows XP, I am not so excited by. But it gets the job done.
