Programming IS different
When EPIC takes the hardware enhancements out - you either;
1. Rely on some super compiler technology to put the stuff back in.
2. Help the compiler by arrainging code to its specs.
Remember, those pipelining features are GONE - you need to execute code sequentially to get the same results!
Reminds me of programming for the Cray - you had to do things differently because of the vector computation.
You can have the same code for all of your platforms, but it won't run as fast on EPIC . . .
