hp is exiting the cpu business totally
The PA-Risc was AFAIK the fastest RISC per clock
cycle, so I guess this is a bit of a shame. I
don't doubt they'll sell their patents and design
on to someone else.
But it does make you wonder what HP do these
days.
I remember going around a HP factory, where they
rebadged Mitsumi stuff, and wrote better drivers.
That isn't much of a business model.
What else do they do? Any ideas.
