RIAA companies beat customers again
Oh sure, it's only an issue of where a case gets tried, but any time the RIAA can announce that their best customers are closer to being harmed, they really feel good about it.
Day after day, in meeting after meeting, they discuss what expensive indignity they can heap on someone stupid enough to be interested in their products. In the meantime, profits go down, and companies try desperately to merge in order to go on hurting people just a little bit longer.
Poor Cory was so exhausted, he was lying on the floor for most of the press conference. If it had been televised, he would have been seen punching his fist weakly into the carpet, hardly pressuring the nap, and muttering incoherently, '... break them, ... no never, only our way, ... they must, they'll see they must.' But that's before he stood up and proudly announced that the RIAA had come closer to destroying the deadliest force in human existence, their customers.
I used to believe the studies showing that file sharing did no harm to industry profits. Of course, in the public mind facts can be overcome by a lie repeated often enough. The RIAA is working on it. Actually, now I believe that they are losing business. How can people keep buying from companies that behave like this?
