The whole moores law thing is getting ridiculous
It was a very good prediction that has worked up till now but must we treat it as if it really is a law. Virtually no scientist would call it a law. It seems to be a target that the chipbuilders must adhere to. Perhaps it won't hold true for ever? I'm sure the Moore didn't mean it to become a thing like that. We are going to reach a limit of the size of transistor but surely sometime there may be a jump. Quantum computing perhaps, a new Nanotechnology thing? I would just hope that the chipbuilders are sensible enough about ignoring all of this "will they keep up with moores law" thing.
