But not good news to those who based their careers on old technology. RISC has longer legs developmentally speaking, but eventually something has to replace transistors just like transistors replaced tubes. Quantum computing shows promise too, but it is admittedly a while off yet. But don't hold your breath waiting to hear that from the Pentium "pros."
