Why Lenovo-IBM is a tough sell

Lenovo-IBM is not good for IBM.

But the MBA's running them can't see past the bottom line of the next quarters sheet, if they can see past the bottom line of this months or even past this weeks sheets.

I have worked for 3 companies that had mergers and of those 3, 1 closed up in less than a year.

Another closed the section they had brought with in 1 1/2 years. The small co. was about $1,000.000 a year in sales, the co. they brought was over $1,000,000 a MONTH in sales. The small company's MBA did NOT understand the market of the larger co. even though they had the people from the larger co. telling them what was going on. They got rid of the big $$$ people that ran the larger company and could not recover when the orders came in.

The 3rd ran for about 6 months then split up with the smaller taking a lot of info and a few big customers with it. The larger had a lot of trouble after the split. I wonder if that was what the smaller co. intended from the start.
Oh, 1 other thing. The larger co. had only 25 people before the merger. There were no MBAs in it it was ran by a couple of engineers, but the smaller had 2 or 3 MBAs in it.
