Hmm, maybe it'll work.
Lenovo has been selling PCs for a long time - so I'll assume that they have an adequate marketing department. I also assume that they have an adequate quality control department. Since the will inherit the thinkpad, they WILL have an US corporate connection. The reason people buy thinkpads is #1 IBM and #2 they like the design, #3 the quality is great. If Lenovo can keep #2 and #3 going, then they could replace #1 with Lenovo.

If Lenovo does well at this PC business, maybe IBM starts sending server manufacturing work over there too. Could be a lucrative situation for both sides.
