Of course Mr Dell would say this, DUH!
"mergers haven't been successful"? HUH? Maybe his mergers haven't been, but others have. Sounds like he is trying to downplay it a little too much.

Granted, I don't much like the idea of the "buyer" being a Chinese company, but when the "PC" (x86) business is losing money what choice do they really have but to off load it?

Notice, the only business they are dumping is the "PC" (x86) business. Not their RISC and Power lines.
