The computer illiterate are becoming more literate

Well, could it just be that as all of the many thousands of users of the Microwsoft dominant OSes begin to get (by osmosis?) some degree of computer education and experience with their point-and-click anal retentiveness use of computers with these OSes, the boring knowledge about their limitations, flaws, boundedness, bugs, security breaches (although Linux had better watchout here as it gains in popularity), lack of a good CLI shell, poor kernel, etc., etc. that they are beginning to look beyond their monopolized noses to something else? Something fresh? Something which does not limit their creativeness especially if they are beginning to learn a little code of some kind using several growing number of available languages that have been around since old BSD Unix, VMS, etc. late 70's, early 80's days. Just maybe, we are seeing a new level of sophistication in knowledge and literacy like many of our less biased European, Chinese, etc. have not had the blessing of being dominated by, because their general (computer illiterate) public have not had the presence of being market dominated by having the Microwsoft OSes, Browsers, other OS link tools forced upon them and due to their own laziness, cheapness temptation to bate give aways, or what ever? Think about it. Maybe, just maybe, the general computer intelligensia is maturing due to lack of challenge from the use of mediocre bounded less innovative products at best to a true appreciation of what being able to be creative, original, and having some empowerment over one's computational abilities should be about? Hope springs eternal.
