US Department of Energy needs this why?
A hundred million dollars to do what? Why does the Department of Energy need something like this? Do they not have enough on their plate dealing with the here and now and our countries energy needs? Will this increase the number of wind generators? Will it build more Sterling Engines? Does it relieve the nuclear waste problem? Does it make a barrle of oil cheaper?

My bad, I thought the Department of Energy would deal with, well, energy...
