What if the PC becomes obsolete?
Those big businesses that buy PCs every 4 years may not buy ANY for the next cycle! Thin clients are becoming better and better, and their price and ease of administration make them very attractive. Larry Ellison's Network Computer idea was right "place", wrong time. If you can have any number of wireless devices of any size available to you, why have a PC? Kinda like why have a land-line phone, when you can use your cell (wireless) for that same purpose? The equivalent here is why have a big PC, with large hard drive, DVD, PVR, etc. when you can get a wireless device that can subscribe to a media "service"? If I can subscribe to ABC TV for a couple bucks a month, why spend all the time, effort, and money for a top-notch PVR PC system to record my favorite shows, when I can just click-click on a website and last week's episode of "Lost" is playing on my 200 buck machine?
