But is that all bad? Not really.
You have to keep in mind that the survivors will be the companies that can deliver the biggest bang for the buck to you and me, the end user. The maturing of this industry isn't really any different than others and it's a shake out many have seen coming for some time. Not to pick on them but Gateway has been floundering around for years trying to figure out what they did for a living. Would anyone really miss them if they were bought out by say Dell or HP?
